Basingstoke College of Technology and land to the west of the
allotments North of Churchill Way West are now off the Tory Borough
Council's list of land available for development.
After hard lobbying by the Liberal Democrat Team, Council staff have
accepted that the College will be staying in Worting Road. The land
north of Churchill Way was cut from plans shortly before a public
scrutiny meeting.
Further west, paddock land just inside the Ring Road is still included,
but the Council has agreed to try and keep the existing cycle way and
protect nearby water supplies.
In Kings Furlong the site of the Wessex Christian Fellowship remains
on the list but shifted further into the future.
