Martin Tod has been chosen as the Liberal Democrats’ candidate for the first ever election of a Mayor for Hampshire and the Isle of
Wight.
Martin’s experience as Leader of Winchester Council and as a key Hampshire County Councillor makes him a great choice to take on
this vital new role. We're supporting him to get MORE for our area when key powers transfer from central government to the new
Mayor in May 2026.

UPDATE: The Government has decided that the Hampshire Mayoral election will be postponed until 2027. We think this is denying democracy from Hampshire's residents and disagree with the decision.
