Petition for a new hospital

The new Basingstoke Hospital, promised first by Boris Johnson and the Conservatives for completion by 2030, has now been delayed, and construction won't start until between 2037 and 2039. This is unacceptable.

The Conservatives broke their word to our community, and now this Government has kicked the issue into the long grass. But it will cost almost as much to maintain the existing hospital as it will to build a new one. This is negligence to the taxpayer.

Alex Brewer MP (North East Hampshire) is pushing the Government to reconsider the timetable for this rebuild, and to move Basingstoke up the list.
