Gavin James, County candidate for Basingstoke South East. Liberal Democrat councillor Gavin James is co-
leader of Basingstoke and Deane Council and
oversees the Council’s budget and property. He is
seeking re-election to Hampshire County Council
for Basingstoke South East, which covers Eastrop,
Grove, Brighton Hill and the Town Centre.
Gavin has been an outspoken critic of the Tories
‘short termism’ in cutting back on preventative
spending on social care and highways maintenance.
This has resulted in these services costing more
whilst delivering an ever diminishing service.

John McKay, Borough candidate for Eastrop and Grove. Liberal Democrat councillor John McKay will be defending his Eastrop and Grove seat on Basingstoke and Deane Council elections. John is currently the cabinet member for Communities, Partnerships and Inclusion.
John has built links with community and voluntary groups operating across the borough. He has supported the Citizens Advice Bureau increasing their out-reach work whilst finding a new home after they were evicted from the Library by Hampshire’s ruling Conservatives.
Kerry Morrow in Kingsclere
Kerry Morrow, borough candidate for Tadley N, Kingsclere and Baughurst. Kerry is a local tradesman, living and working in Tadley, and proud to serve as a Borough Councillor for four years. He has worked hard for the community across Tadley, Kingsclere and Baughurst because he truly cares.
John Shaw
John Shaw, candidate for Brookvale and Kings Furlong/Basingstoke Central. Liberal Democrat John Shaw lives in Brookvale
and has a history of serving the Community.
John built a career in the care sector working
with, and managing a number of specialist
charities.  In retirement he has used his
experience by working with local charity groups
supporting the vulnerable in our area.
John’s experience and people focus will benefit
both Brookvale and Basingstoke and
Jo Slimin
Jo Slimin, Borough candidate for Tadley and Pamber. A dedicated representative for Tadley and Pamber for four years, Jo Slimin combines deep experience with hands-on action. Currently the Borough’s Champion for Health and Wellbeing, she also serves as a school governor and charity founder. Jo is committed to protecting local services, improving the environment, and supporting residents’ everyday needs.
Mark Wilson-Thomas
Mark Wilson-Thomas, County candidate for Tadley and Baughurst. I’ve called Tadley home for a total of 18 years. I serve on the Town Council, volunteer at Age Concern Lunch Club and am active in my Church - I love our community spirit. I’m standing as County Councillor to fix issues like potholes, bringing proven leadership skills, time, commitment, and a people‑before‑politics approach.
